OOOhhh the pain....

Just want to have a moan really.....

I broke my ankle quite badly last year and had to have pins in to hold it together. For about 6 months now I haven't had any pain.... until today.

I am in work and in agony - it is slightly swollen, but just not sure if it is to do with the hot weather.

I thought I was lucky as I have heard other people say they suffer for years afterwards, and I didn't seem to have any major problems.

Has anyone else experienced this after a break?

could you have twisted it some-how ?? I did some shopping, twisted to get something off the top shlef. No pain or anything, but a couple of hours later my knee had ballooned up. A bit of rest- you know feet up , no washing up, cooking ,ironing and it was fine.

Thanks for asking Helenmc. Was ok last night when I went home - couldn't get away without doing the ironing though. Felt ok all night when I had it up, but again this morning once I have driven to work and walked a bit, it is aching again. So another day on pain killers!
