Advice or experience please - blurry vision and steroids

Even writing the words gives me the shakes now.

I have been put on a short (ten day ) course of steroids to alleviate swelling in my opitcal nerve (I think that it what the probelm is..). I have had blurry vision for the last week - like a VERY smeary contact lens).

I was sent for a CT scan and wait for the results.

I don't really know what the diagnosois is yet. I am usually quite a worrier but for some reason even though this seems to be major, up till now I have been quite calm most of the time.

poppyknot, have they not discussed possible causes with you. larsxx

I saw a dr and consutlant at the hospital and they mentioned a virus as a possiblilty. I am seeing my Gp on Friday and another hospital appt v soon.

I think that they are still puzzled themselves.
