Just that really, and I bf.

I realised pretty quickly my mistake and spat it out and spent a good 5 mins or so rinsing and re rinsing my mouth. I didn't swallow any, but swallowed a tiny bit of water when I was trying to gargle the stuff away.

My tongue feels prickly and I still have the taste quite strongly in my mouth.

What should I do?

Is it safe to bf?

It was detox lavender and orange oil. Not suitable for personal bathing.

I would ring OOH if I were you OP. You'll probably be fine but I think you should be checked. Take the bottle with you if you have to go in.

cestlavielife · 29/08/2016 20:31

You will be fine. Drink lots water.

DH, a chemistry prof, says the active ingredient isn't particularly toxic to humans but you should seek medical advice and take the packet with you. Alternatively Dettol have an advice line you could ring: 03330 05345.

It's the baby brain. Hope it's all getting better in spite of the swig. Often think of you and hope you are ok. Chocolate

Thanks all, just got off the phone to 111 and I just need to keep rinsing, the nurse said I should be fine to bf.

I feel like a right muppet! I moved the stuff from the bottom shelf to on top of the medicine cabinet today as the baby has started crawling! And just grabbed the wrong bottle without thinking Blush
