Can a baby get sunburn through a double-glazed window?

Just had a nap with my 16 day old. Woke up and the sun was streaming through the window onto the back of his legs. Feel terrible! Can he get sunburn this way? :(

I thought you can get burnt through Windows? I heard reccently about people who are in cars most of their day(truck drivers/driving instructors) having Sun damage on the side of the body where the window was.. I could be wrong though.
