How do you keep glasses on a baby?

DS 12 month old has just been prescribed glasses. Any ideas on how to keep them on him? Are there are types of glasses that are baby-proof? What happens when he chews them, hits them off the wall etc etc etc ????

Kristina - my DS is 22 months and has been given glasses for a squint and for the first few weeks he was on off on off but I just let him get used to it! Now he keeps them on 80% of the time as long as people don't mention them!!! As soon as people say " ahh look at his glasses"...thats it he remembers and starts playing with them. Our optitian also gave us 2 pairs free of charge as one pair always seems to need repairing!!! Have to say that we have been back to the specialist and he has said that DS eyes are better already....so definately worth trying to get them to keep the on!!!
