Hello my dd 18 months has had diarrhea since tuesday. I called doctor on sat and he said to try giving her live yoghurts and water only. I have tried this but just seems to make things worse. We stopped the yoghurts today and have just given her water or water with a bit of juice in it. She has had diarrhea 7 times today and its still alot. Now she has been waking up screaming out and crying. What should i do i am at a loss

Phone NHS Direct - or go to A&E if it's a long wait on there. It's been nearly a week and she's very little not to have had anything much to eat or drink in that time.

I hope she's better soon - I would be tempted to take her to A&E though, because if she's not keeping anything "in", she might need a drip.

shes drinking juice and having wet nappys, well the ones she manages to keep on for long enough. shes up now again after another lot of crying and seems quiet happy in herself. poor little thing.
