6 month old refusing antibiotic

What should i do? She will not swallow it and vomits every time we give her it.She was given the ab's for a chest infection.Should i take her back today? Giving paracetomal suppositiries(sp) but not any better than yesterday.

Have you tried giving them with a syringe? , literally drop by drop. Does she eat solid food? Maybe you can give it with some puree on a spoon. If you really can't get it in her, then speak to your doctor.

get tough
use syring like what belgo says
aim it to the back and side of her throat and squirt about 2mls each time
do not be scared and do not look her directly in the eyes

I also would put a drop on my finger and smear it on the inside of her cheek - a very lengthy process - but it was the only way - the alternative was a hospital stay and intravenous antibiotics.

Sunnywong have done that x3 and ech time she has vomited what seems like the entire contents of her stomach.
