Painful when swallowing

Since Saturday have had real pain when swallowing and am having disturbed sleep. Eating and drinking is painful. Have lost my voice and have headache and shivers. Trying to drink (though painful) and have been taking cold/flu remedies. Anyone got any ideas what I can do to help myself, please? Thanks! ChipButty

I am the same today is the first of feeling ok My ds had it too lasted 3 days.Drinking lots of hot water and lemon with a spoon of honey helps

Salt gargle, teaspoon of salt in half a mug of hot water.

Every 3 hours will ward off the sore throat which might come along.
