Help! Back locked up am preg so not allowed any meds, what will help PLEASE!

31 wks pregnant, lower back along with sciatic type pains, bakc is not just sore it won't work, it is just locked.
osteo busy til next wednesday, midwife says she will refer me to obstetric physio urgently
WTF can I do now
Hot cold ice
Dp is heading home as I am just useless
Am in tears with frustration, had SPD before I had appendicitis at 21 wks and then it went after the post op rest.
this feels different, am so vexed
Help!

Have you taken any painkillers?
Can you find a preg massage person?

You poor thing, it's bad enough when not pg.
There is a great book called "treat your own Back" if you can get hold of a copy anywhere - exercises to help get the back out of spasm. I will look for a reference, perhaps your DP could get it on a fast delivery?

Much better, we got a new bed this weekend and it has made massive difference.
On Friday osteo told me to have hot bath, then alternate hot and cold packs for half an hour 5 mins each
that helped the spasms along with paracetamol
Now it's ok.
I think I did too much
