Will taking POP encourage AF?

You know when you think of a question you should have asked the GP when you have just walked out of the surgery - well I've got cerazette (mini pill) to take as am BFing but not sure whether to take it yet or not. I had 7 blissful months of no periods with DD and would like the same with DS. If I start taking pill now is it likely to start them off again? I know it can make bleeding erratic so perhaps no one really knows!

TIA

Can only talk from experience. I am on mini pill too, due to bf and no AF yet. In fact haven't had one since Nov 2005! Lovely

i took the mini pill with dd1 and didnt have a period until i stopped taking it then ended up pg with ds2!!! lol
it stops the egg from releasing so theoretically you shouldnt bleed as there is no lining to lose

I went on minipill after DD was born and then stopped it when she was 6 months, and got no AF until she was nearly 11 months, and have now been 6 weeks waiting for another....

I'm still deliberating over this, anyone else have their experience to share? please...
