Reason for late period & when to see GP

I looked on the NHS site but didn't get much, so hoping the wisdom of mn can help. I'm 5 days late but pregnancy tests (I tried twice!) are both negative. In the 9months since coming off the pill I have been super regular (exactly 28 day cycle) except for March when I was 3 days late. Are there any other symptoms I should be looking out for in case it's early menopause or other possible causes? I'm no more stressed than usual and no dramatic weight loss/gain in these two months. Feeling bloated and heavy but no other changes. Any advice??

And how long would you wait before going to see the nurse or GP?

I would wait a month or 6 weeks. To be honest there's not a lot you can do. If you're really worried about pregnancy then a blood test can help but it's really not unusual to miss a period completely and I wouldn't don any investigations for some time as it can just happen.

That's reassuring, thanks. It just seems so unusual it's making me anxious I suppose.
