Daughter has red hit bite on her leg. Best treatment?

She was bitten on Friday/ Saturday and still sore and pus filled. Not sure what bit her. She says it Hurts if I try and put anything on it.
I have taken a photo to take into pharmacy.
Any good old fashioned remedies?

Eek looks sore just an antiseptic cream or calomine lotion cream to take the heat an itch out

Magnesium sulphate might help.

You know I was thinking that stuff you make into a paste would work well but couldn't remember what it was called but yeah magnesium sulphate

Oh yes that's the stuff you use for splinters I will go and get some.
