That's it really, just feeling so down and sorry for myself :-(

V&D, can't sleep, hubby away for the next two weeks, toddler currently sleeping but only a matter of time before the little love wakes and demands boob.

No family live close by (ie they are all a plane or boat ride away).

Just feeling so so alone and rubbish :-(

Aww, it sucks being unwell and being on your own.

I know the feeling when I broke my leg badly just really wanted my mum, and she couldn't travel to me in Oz. I rang her to tell her and she wanted to be there but couldn't. I cried so much my face was soaked with tears 😥

So glad I'm back in the UK.

Solidarity. Same here - 3yo and 18mo await me in my bed, I'm stuck to the loo with a bowl for company. And very very pregnant. Boo hoo make it stop

LO goes to nursery a couple of days a week and tomorrow is one of them, but it's a drive and I couldn't do that feeling like this. I'm secretly wishing hubby will drop everything and fly home but I know he won't and can't :-(

Make sure you try and stay hydrated. Especially if bf. Try a sip of water every 5 minutes.

I've just managed two straight hours sleep, but I'm still so rough. Anyway, I'm grateful for the sleep. LO has woken early and is full of life

If you are breast feeding, does that mean you're not taking Imodium? If so, could you use bottle for now and take something to help?? I can heartily recommend pepto bismol for your stomach too. It's pink and yummy!

Oh no. I feel your pain. I'm unwell too. I have to walk the DC to school in an hour. I've had hardly any sleep. Luckily for me my dad's coming to take my 2 year old and 9 month old for a couple of hours so I can go to bed then. It was meant to be so I could start on boxing up things for moving bedrooms around at the weekend but I'd rather sleep.
If I could I'd get my dad to take yours too then you could sleep.

No, taxi not possible unfortunately. Nursery is a 30 min drive (it's by my work) and so an hour round trip, twice, it's not going to happen. I don't mean to be negative about all the helpful suggestions, I just think all I can do is ride it out.

Thanks Kelandry, I don't have any of those things in the house anyway, chemist would be a good walk away, and lo wouldn't take a bottle anyway (not that I have anything to put in a bottle, unless I get out the pump, ugh). I've been sipping water and dioralyte. Heard someone recommend a grated apple that's been left out to go brown! Might try that later, even though it sounds horrible!

Have you got any coke? Full fat. Pour a glass of that and leave it to go flat and warm then sip that.

Good idea, hubby might have a sneaky can of coke stashed somewhere! Have just eaten an apple I grated this morning and left to go brown. Something to do with oxidisation or pectin or something...

Now going for an early nap with the wee one.

Poor you, D&V is awful without having LO's to look after

If you don't have coke in, put a tsp of salt and tbsp or sugar in a pint of water and sip it (thats all thats in dioralyte essentially) it will help stabilise your electrolytes and help you feel better

Just woke from my 90 nap with the lo feeling a bit better. Maybe the apple helped, and certainly the sleep did!

I'll go looking now for Coke, otherwise I'll have another dioralyte.

Glad you've managed to grab a nap. I've just had a couple of hours. I could do with some more but I don't know when my dad's dropping the little two back off so I'm wary of sleeping again.

Thanks all... 24 hours later, with nobody but me and the darling toddler (who has been a superstar all day with smiles and cuddles) and of course with all your support, I think I'm better!

A few dioralyte drinks, a probiotic sachet, a cold flat Coke, a grated and browned apple, a nap with the toddler, a small play in the garden and lots of play and stories and colouring and singing in the house... and I was finally able to cook and eat some dinner with LO, who is now asleep.
