Meningitis - update - SMILING!!

Sorry haven't kept you updated - DD is well on the road to recovery. Since coming home she has had some big bear sleeps and loads of cuddles. She is obviously more relaxed now she is in her home environment, and last night was happily playing and smiling.

Yes mears, i am afraid it was meningitis. They are not sure if it was bacteral or viral, but treated her with anti biotics anyway. The only meningitis i knew about was the mengiaccocal one that can be fatal - hence the panic. But touch wood she seems to be fighting it and is well on the road to recovery. There are possible side effects but we will hopefully find out more when we go back to the hospital on Tuesday.
My parents came over to day and couldn't believe how bright and alert she was - you really wouldn't know she had been so ill - obviously you would if you looked at me as i have a few more grey hairs, bags under my eyes and loads of spots (a combination of stress and chocolate!)

Pleeeese let us know how she gets on on Tuesday - although the signs look good - you must be so relieved.
