I have recently had a really bad experience with a dentist in Barry. I havent been to the dentist for a while and I know my teeth/gums are in a bad way, but he didnt have to lecture me and be so rude to me about it. It has totally put me off dentists, but my husband is nagging me, and I know I really have to sort them out.

I really need a dentist who has time to spend with me to relax me, and who won't lecture me for not looking after my teeth.

I live in Barry but would travel to any dentist who would make me feel at ease.

Drs Colin Rees & Simon Hill
Wyndham House Dental Practice, Boverton Road, Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales CF61 1XZ
Telephone: 01446 795 240

Think they have a practice in Cowbridge too, on the Hight Street. Colin Rees is lovely, we only left because we moved to Yorkshire. Not sure if they're NHS, though. Good luck.

Ian Hooper on Charles St in the centre of Cardiff. Doesn't lecture. Lovely lady in reception.

Robert and Sheila Phillips - 6a Fairwater Green Cardiff CF5 6BA tel 02920 553463. Googling "dentis"="fear"+Cardiff" you get the above - " a practise catering for those with a fear of the dentist. could be worth a call.

Milge, I tried doing that google search but I couldnt find anything that said the phillips were "a practice catering for those with a fear of the dentist". All the ones on yell.com that say that are full.

cornetjo - are you willing to travel to bridgend? there is one opened in Nolton St, bridgend (no idea of name, only opened recently), or there is a new practice in Broadlands, Bridgend. The one I go to is full.
