I'm very worried about Peter today

he is very very tired (has been back in bed since 10am), and i can hear the pause between clicks getting longer, then speeding back to normal rate. his machine readings are fine, flow rates all good etc, good fill on the pump, good flash test, nothing alarming. but something isnt right.

he is i na lot of pain and very tired again today

transplant cant happen soon enough imo. he needs it so much. its hardly a life he is leading is it?

Gosh, I'm sorry misdee. Wish I could suggest something. Is he in discomfort from being attatched to the machine or just generally uncomfortable? How do other people cope on this device?

he is in pain because of the machine. because of the positioning of it due to his rather large heart, it means he cant sit up properly or lie down when it bed. he is always in a semi upright position. he cant stretch or bend either. he is on oxycontin and co-proxamol for the pain. i think this LVAd will have really mess up his back for after his transplant.

sorry to hear he is so poorly and must be very worring for you too, lets hope he doesn't have to wait too much longer.
