dd2, who is 3yrs, had a bit of blood in her pull ups last night, she only wears them at night, but won't go to the toilet this morning - guess cos it hurts so much.
have been getting her to drink loads of water, but she still won't go for a wee..
have even put the potty in front of the telly so she can sit on while watching dvd and bribed her with choc buttons, but she still won't go.
the docs appt is in 40 mins and need to take a sample - anyone got any ideas?

Sit her near a running tap?

Was last night the last time she wee'ed?

I'm glad you're taking her to the doctors, it sounds like she needs to be seen by a doctor.

yes, her pull ups were wet when I took them off this morning, but she didn't go on the toilet when she got up and she normally does. she tried to, but cried and said it hurt.
she's drunk a large beaker of milk and loads of water so she should be needing to go!

Don't give her anything more to drink and wait until you get to the doctors.

Glad to hear it.

If she's still in pull-ups and she wet those overnight, the doc can give you a special pad that you pop in her nappy for 1/2 hr or so. Then take it out and draw the urine out of with a syringe (all provided in the pack). Maybe call them now and let them know so you can pick it up from reception and change her into it straight away.

My sympathies - I had this last year with my 2 yr old DD and it was worrying but turned out ok in the end. Hope everything's ok for you and DD xx

sorry - crossed posts! Glad she's put your mind at rest! Good luck at the docs later xx

thanks cashncarry - she only wears pull ups at night, goes to the toilet during the day, but thanks anyway!
