Is it okay to just wipe away the discharge with clean wet tissue or do I really need to get antibiotic cream from GP?
BTW she's not rubbing eye or showing any signs of discomfort - yet!!!

use cotton wool doused in warm salty water . Wipe from the inside to the outside of the eye and DO NOT use the same piece of cotton wool for both eyes!!!!

it may clear up without any medication, ask for soem drops over the counter though. Also it is highly contagious so different towels etc for all the family.

HTH.

If you are still bfing bm has natural antibiotic properties.

No, not still bfing so that rules out that one. Should I wipe both eyes if she only has a discharge from one eye?
