anyone had implanon removed early

hi,i had the implanon contraceptive implant about 19 months ago,due to some side effects i want it removed.just wondering if anyone else has done this.

Hi, I had mine removed a couple of months ago. I'd only had it for about 8 months, but i kept on bleeding, so it had to go.

thanks for the reply,did it hurt and were they ok about removing it early?

They gave a local anaesthetic when removing it, so all you really feel is the dr's fingers. I was there for about 5 minutes.

They were fine. They did offer me a months worth of the combined pill as they said that may help the bleeding, but I just wanted it out and they were happy to do it and made me an appt.
