Going camping 24 hours after having a vasectomy yes or no ?

My husband is getting the snip tomorrow evening but he also has been invited to go camping this week end with our ds. I'm a bit worried about him going in term of recovery. I would like to hear from people whose partner had it done...is the pain bearable ? Will he be mobile ?

My husband went to work the next day. He was in pain but took painkillers. Not sure about going camping though. Is he going to be awake or sedated. My DH was sedated & you can't drive for 24 hrs afterwards.

My DH was very mobile (hadn't been sedated and insisted on driving us home after I had minor road rage) and no pain that ibuprofen couldn't deal with.

Lot's of men have more pain than that though. There seems to be a lot of variability.

And there is a wound, which needs to be kept free of infection; I wouldn't risk camping.
