God yes. I always ask for a prescription for Canestan to go with my antibiotics.

It would do it to me, too - you can buy Canestan over the counter now - go out and get some!

Get some acidophilus quickly - and always have these when you take antibiotics. The ABs kill off all the bacteria in your gut, including all the good ones. The good ones are the ones that help keep candida (thrush) under control.

You can get a 'Combi' pack with a pessary to poke up the parts and cream for the outside. I used that when I had it as I thought it covered all eventualities! I don't really know whether it would be ok just to use one or the other.
