5 month shaking head

Hi my 5 month old has recently started skaing his head from side to side - he does it quite a lot during the day and when I checked on him this evening he was shaking it again in his cot. He is begninning to teethe so wondered if that has anything to do with it? Anyone else come across this before?!

My 6 month old has started shaking his head too - he used to do it in his cot when he is going to sleep but over the last couple of days, just seems to be doing it for the fun of it during the day.

Not sure but HTH that your DS is not alone!

just about every baby i know did this, ds still does it and he is nearly 16mo. it's normal.
(i freaked out about it at first til i realized that my friends' babies were doing it to!!)

Hey, ggod to hear, my DS has been doing it for a few weeks but none of my friends babies have! Hubby thinks he likes looking at everything jiggling around, and thats why he does it, we've not see him do it in his cot though, only when up and about... we were hoping it wasn't him trying to say "No!" practising for when he hits the terrible twos
