Ooooh. Sounds nasty. Take her back to the GP. Maybe the infection has caused a problem with the grommits? Oozing stuff doesnt sound right at all.

If she has been on AB's for a few days and is still oozing stuff, I'd get her seen to. Cant be very comfortable for her.

Yorkie, my DD had grommets fitted, we were told by the hospital that if she develops an infection then to ask the GP for ear drops not oral antibiotics. But they also told us that many GPs will only prescribe oral A/Bs

normally once an ear is oozing it means that the infection has almost gone, but again i would call emergency doctor or take her back to gp tomorrow.

my dd's ears oozed for a couple of week's after her ear infection had gone. It looked gross.

Does your dd have any other symptoms such as a temperature or pain?

Gingerbear · 07/01/2007 16:50

Sorry to hear DD2 is still sufferring.

Don't know if it helps, but these are the ones my dad had recently for an ear infection Ah, no - not suitable for a perforrated ear drum.
