mirena removal

anyone had theirs removed?

I'm bleeding (sorry tmi) at all kinds of odd times; it came out just before Christmas

I've had bleeding for a day, then a few days off, then a bleed, then a few days off, then spotting...

this is okay, right?

I bled on and off (ie a few days on, a few days off, very irregular) for months afterwards. The doctor said it was usual to bleed a bit for a week or so, but that it shouldn't have gone on as long is it did.

But it hadn't suited me and I was bleeding continually the whole time I had mirena in as well, so I'm be a bit odd! Anyway there were no side effects from all this - DS was conceived afterwards & all is in working order!
