been watching a bit of telly and pottering, DH looked at me and said my eyes looked awful! Had a look in the mirror, they are bright red, bloodshot and puffy !

hurt a lot too. feel scrathcy and watery and pain behind them

reaction to something?
anything from new makeup to new cleaning product or plant/flower.

Tiredness can cause it or being under the weather can make you more sensitive to things you haven't had problem with before.

I find if I am run down or have recently been unwell I can react to things that I wouldn't normally. It could be that you've been ill.

I find if it is a reaction because I've been ill it tends to only last a short time.

I'd see if it happens again and if it didn't I wouldn't worry about it.

Try eyedrops to hydrate and soothe your eyes. Central heating can sometimes be the culprit.

Sounds like it could be an allergic reaction to something. Try antihistamine eyedrops. I've had this happen and I've no idea what triggered it. For a while after it would flare up at times. The drops helped lots.

How are your eyes now, Lulu. Have the drops done the trick? and more importantly, have you survived the outside world without mascara?

lulumama · 05/01/2007 19:02

think the drops are helping...pain is less, and less weepy..but left eye very red still....

at the baker boy cap and glasses.
Glad you've had some improvement. I know I've hated it when my eyes have been bad.
