Mooncups...who's got / tried one?

I'm thinking about a mooncup for environmental reasons more than anything.

Has anyone found them good / bad / difficult to use?

I have one. It is quite easy to use but I find days when I am at work difficult as there are not sinks in the cubicles at work, so you have to emerge from the loo to wash your hands - and you do need a lot of handwashing when you use a mooncup, believe me!

Brilliant for days when I'm not at work though.

I do find that the mooncup is not adequate for the heaviest night(s) of my period so have to resort to the old super-plus tampax for that.

sorry to jump in - I've been thinking of getting one too, initially for environmental reasons (had also been thinking re-usable pads) until I heard mooncup can make bad period pain lessen

anyway - anyone know best (ie cheapest ) online source? AND is mooncup the same as divacup?

FrannyandZoey had a supply on here which were several pounds (inc PandP) cheaper than anywhere else. But she's not been around since before Chrsitmas. Maybe, if she's lurking she'll see this (or maybe one of her friends may alert her to this thread )

Not heard of Dvacups - prob similar concept.

I love mine- i don't find it that messy tbh but while I was getting used to it it was.

It was comfier made me feel like af was not as heavy as I thought... I did need to wear a pad over night the first night tho (I use a cloth san pro for this).

did have a 2-3 month learning curve tho. well worth it if you stick at it1
