Vaccinations with a cold?

DD (14 months) had loads of bugs/viruses after starting nursery in October and still has a constant cold (not at nursery anymore as we are moving house). Her immune system clearly took a bit of a battering - i know this is common when starting nursery though).

We have decided to do singles instead of MMR (maybe starting in a couple of months) but i have an appt for her to have the pneumococcal catchup next week. I'm not very happy about doing it when she still has a cold but realise she may carry on like this for most of the winter (and i dont want the pneum. vaccine and the measles single close together), so not sure what i should do.

Basically she either has it when she has a cold or we would probably have to wait til spring /summer before she has any of them. Any advice?

anyone? Is it common practice to vaccinate with colds?

I think they say yes, if no fever. However, personally I waited until ds2 was about 18 mths before he had his MMR as he had coughs and colds all through the winter months

thanks iota

I was def going to leave the measles vaccine til she is 100% cold free - hopefully spring?!! But the PCV i'm not so sure. I feel i should get it done now but i dont want to compromise her system anymore than necessary

She def doesnt have a fever, just a permanent snotty nose (and she is teething)
