'Cos I'm thinking of getting some (new year resolution - sort out my overcrowded bottom jaw...)

Just wondered about anyone's experience, as they are quite expensive?

What are they Legacy? Are they hugely expensive?

they're clear plastic braces designed for adults (who don't want train tracks )) - but they are altered every few weeks, so work out quite expensive (£'000s - eek!) but I've heard about some really good results. Hang on, I'll see if I can find the website....

I had them as a child (12) I'm 27 now and I'm sure they have improved since I had them but I would have reccomended them at that time anyway, I was spared from any ridicule of my 'train tracks' which were rife for any other kids my age with the full metal set.

My parents paid for mine as the dentist said the effects/results were 'purely cosmetic' at that time it cost £800 but that was around 1992'ish

I had "normal" metal braces in my late 20s- well worth it and with clear plastic on the teeth they're fairly discrete
They were at least 3K if I recall correctly

The results are fantastic. But they are not suitable for all cases. I worked as a receptionist for an orthodontic practice for 6 months (covering a mat leave) & these were done on quite a reg basis.

The practice was in Herts & charged 3.5-4k. depending on the case & amount of care needed.

Tom Cruise had something similar to these.
