dd3 has a deep deep one

also a few other tiny marks above it

you can see the bottom of hers if you press the skin around it and she is weight bearing and crawling so am I not unduly worried

but embarrassed that I only noticed it about 6 weeks ago

aren't midwives supposed to pick these up and should I take her to the gp?

my ds has a deep one, which was noticed by the paediatrician when we left hosp. he was sent for a scan and checked by a senior paed and we were v worried but it has turned out not to be a prob. i think they're quite common and usually don't matter, but maybe it's best to get it checked

My eldest has one. First thing teh mw told when she was born - "there's a hole at teh base of her spine" Think I would prefer to have found out a bit later. She's fine btw.
