DS (4) is having it this afternoon. He's had it a couple of years back and it was a nightmare. I am expecting it to be 100 times worse today. Has anyone got any advice?

TIA

Have no idea, sorry. Just want to wish you the best of luck & hope it's not too traumatic

Sorry it was yesterday, hope it went ok

it's like eating chalk (from what I remember)

did think they added flavour for kids though?

foxinsocks · 03/01/2007 11:04

it's just very thick - a bit like that Gaviscon stuff but maybe the adult stuff is different

just checked the (very old) sheet I had on it and they said for children they add a flavour to give it the appearance of a milk shake so maybe it won't be too bad (perhaps call the hospital if you are worried)

thanks you two. Yes it was yesterday, and yes it did look like a thick chalk drink, but they added a bit of Ribena to it to sweeten it. I wouldnt go so far as saying it was like milk shake though!!!

DS coped v well, and in fact drank it all up. A very different experience from the last time. He wasnt upset by it at all, thank goodness. I was, but that is another matter.

Thanks for your support x
