blood pressure any medics about?

DH has hbp he is taking ramapril.
Has started getting headaches, went to GP yesterday his bp was 198/98
I have just taken it again (my machine is fairly accurate) bp was 212/112.
He has a mild headache but says he feels ok. Am really worried, should I take him to A&E?
His Bp can't keep going up & up. Clearly the medication isn't working.

Advice much appreciated

Has his BP gone up quickly? How long has he been on the ramipril? That is pretty high and the headaches could be related. I'd either phone NHS 24 or go to the emergency department at that level especially if it is a sudden increase over a short time. Any visual disturbance?
