Face ache

I have face ache im in two minds about wether to bother an out of hours g.p about it.

I woke up this morning with an achey jaw and during the day it has spreas into my ear and throat and the whole of my right side is throbbing im in alot of pain, it hurts to move my neck and head and jaw.

Do you think i should wait untill tommorrow or go tonight?

go to out of hours gp. have you taken any painkillers?

Phone out of hours GP, he will tell you whether to come down or not...

i took some paracetamol but it didn't help much, im feelisng so shite i don't really want to have to go out in the rain to the hospital to the out of hours surgery but im in pian so i guess i had better go. sigh.

charlee - does it hurt when you move your jaw? I once had a horrific pain in teh side of my face which only hurt when i kept my jaw still (hmmmm) Pain was unbearable. Also try those Kool & Soothe pads (boots do their own variety too) just slap them on the area of pain an they really do dampen the pain down and possibly take ibuprofen as its an anti-inflammatory

It hurts when i move (lucky dp get's some peace and quiet for once!) Im breastfeeding so can i take ibuprofen?

Don't think i can bare to drag the kids down the dr's its cold and wet i thik i will put them to bed early and curl up with my Peter kay book and try and sleep.

Do you think you fit the symptoms of TMJ. Unable to do link. Try google. Quite a common condition.
