One of my baby's ears is still unfolded. Have just been reading about Ear Buddies / Splintage to rectify this. Has anyone tried this, heard of it (and can therefore discuss pros and cons, or whether it actually works) or any other means of rectifying this prob ?

Misdee - Ear Buddies is a plastic splinter which you fit into the ear which corrects the ear shape. (earbuddies.fresca.co.uk/pws/Content.ice?page=Home&pgForward=content). Am not sure whether it works beyond a certain age (the older the child the harder the cartiledge).

I think it may sort itself out...i have a friend whose little girl had the same and it just seem to disappear or may become hardly noticable
I would see what your Hv thinks

ds1 has a lump next to his ear (sounds like your son's jimjams). I don't notice it anymore ...and it always surprises me when new people do. The doc and Hv told me that he could have it removed if he wanted to when he was older.
But he doesn't want to

did the tape you use to pin the Ear Buddies down tear off any skin when you removed it ?

oh no, nothing like that. it was just like removing a plaster that you have had on for two weeks, most of the stickyness had gone and they were coming off themselves. if there was a little bit still stuck we used the zoff wipes to remove it very gently

Also is the Zoff adhesive remover wipes sensitive as my baby has really dry sensitive skin and i don't want to aggravate it.

I dont know, you woudl need to try. i think its alcohol based. we used as little as possible and washed the ear immediatley afterwards. until you try I guess there is no way of knowing if he woudl be allergic to the tape or the ahdesive or even the prosthesis

i undertand your worries about the skin - washing his ears for the buddies is teh only time my baby has had soap or shampoo near him
