DD2, 8 months, was sick on boxing day night. Then nothing. The next night she was sick again, then diahorrea the next morning. Then fine.

DS was sick once last night, then fine. DD2 sick again tonight!

What is going on?! Is that the kind of thing everyone is having - just sick once then fine again for a day or two?!

sounds familiar, sorry.

Ds was like this although he wasnt eating or drinking in between. He threw up every 2nd day for a week.

nutcracker · 30/12/2006 22:25

Well dd1 was sick in the night and had stomach ache but has been fine since.

Dd2 had stomach ache but no sickness.

Ds threw up tonight before bed, but I am hoping and praying that it was just too much food and not the bug as it is 4 days since dd1 was sick.

I have the other bug ....

Coughing and sneezing .... hot and shivvery ... symptoms go on and on ....

and feeling sooo crap that I have been in bed for 4 days .... this is day 6 ....

Rather have the quick sick bug than this lingering crap thing Xmas Sad

Crystaltips · 30/12/2006 22:28

see ... can't even do a festive

sorry to say nutcracker that 4 days sounds a ripe time to incubate a bug...hope they're all better soon. Bugs can come and go in a day or two but it makes sense to try and give em a bit of a health kick when they shake it off. Some extra fruit and veg and vits go a long way to stopping them getting other opportunistic infections whilst their immune systems are low. i also dose out a few probiotic yogurt drinks for them to top up their "friendly bacteria" after a tummy bug.

Hmmm that sounds just like what mine have got nutty. B**r! I was hoping it was a one off 24hr thing. Please don't let there be more to come!!!

Crystaltips - DH and I have that very same bug. Just as you think are are getting better you find you aren't. Day 5 now. How long is it going to go on for FFS? Shivery/hot, nauseous, coughing, aches and pains...I don't like to call it flu as with real flu you can't get out bed but this is coming a close second...

We were struck down with this over Christmas & in my family it varied. DS2 woke up saying he had tummy ache, had a drink, threw it all up & was then right as rain demanding breakfast & not sick again.
DS1 came down with it two days later. He was fine & then suddenly went white, complained of feeling sick & quickly threw up. He went on to be sick around 4 times, but was fine by next morning.
H came down with it around 1am Christmas morning & was throwing up constantly until around 5am (he claims he must have been sick around 30 times!) & was wiped out for the entire day following this.

DS and DH threw up every hour, regular as clockwork, for several hours. Tired and no appetite the next day. I'm pregnant so it hit me a bit harder, but it was the same bug.
