Help! Is This A Period, Or Random Bleeding?

I spotted slightly a few days ago, and thought it was just period coming, although none of my usual period signals (BAD cramps), but there was no more bleeding. Then yesterday Im sure I saw some blood, but was hard to see ( I was wearing a little carefree pad so couldnt see very well, it was soaked in too far) and today aswell. I NEVER have light periods, but then ive only had one (heavy) since DS was born (12th November last period). So, is this a weird very light, painfree period, or just "one of those things" where you randomly have a little bleed?

I'm sure I've heard about it. Hmm - just googled "ovulation bleed" and there were several results. I think I had this a few times when my cycle went to pot for two years after a m/c.

You can bleed at ovulation, but it is usually only a very tiny amount.

Any chance you could be pg? (implantation bleed?).

ginger - I did a test about a week or so ago, and it was negative, when I would have been due on. DH and I last had sex about 2 weeks after last period (November 12th), but have tested negative since then. So, unless i got false negative, and implantation was about 2 weeks later...I dont think so ?

Ahh yes, the implantation bleed. I had about 20 "implantation bleeds" that turned out to be an infuriatingly long build up to a period.

o we did have sex about 2 days ago, but, that would be way too soon.

No idea in that case!

Could be just your periods taking a while to get back to normal after birth? If it carries on messing around though, I'd take another test in a few days. I got a lot of spotting with my first pg - thought it was a period at first but it didn't get going IYSWIM, and then I took a test after about 5 days and it was positive.
