Just got the two little Ds's to bed after a very long day, sat down to my cheese and red wine which I've been bloody looking forward to. dh in Paris with work. Just bloody sliced through my finger, there is blood everywhere. My fault for taking a big glug of wine then cutting the cheese with the pissing new bloody super sharp knife whilst reading shit on my iPad. It makes me feel sick to think that I only realised I was cutting my finger when it felt warm with the blood pouring out, I guess super sharp knives don't hurt like blunt ones. It fucking throbs like s mother fucker now though!!
Just glugged more wine whilst sat with tea towel now bright red wrapped up finger in the air. It's now dripping out the tea towel. I'm too scared look and don't want to wake dd5 and dd2 to what looks like a murder scene!!
Fook!! What shall I do?? Nearest friend is out for the night and my parents are with my sisters kids as she's out for the night!

I read it thinking "no way, what are the chances?" :o

Hope you get it sorted out quickly!

2snugglets · 06/02/2016 20:11

Oh no anyone but this Mum who has replied She's asked where I live.... Oh bloody hell and I've got piles of dirty washing all over bathroom floor!

PhilPhilConnors · 06/02/2016 20:13

It's Saturday night, everyone has piles of washing lying about. Don't worry about that!

honeysucklejasmine · 06/02/2016 20:19

Hopefully she can get there quickly. White at the bottom is a bit suspect sounding.

mmmmmmmmmmcake · 06/02/2016 20:22

Can you say where you live? Just a general area and someone can message you to help out?

mmmmmmmmmmcake · 06/02/2016 20:23

I am in the south west - pm me if you are and I can help if I am nearby?

2snugglets · 06/02/2016 20:31

I'm in Lincolnshire very kind of you to offer though

OP posts:
mmmmmmmmmmcake · 06/02/2016 20:33

Ok. I hope you are ok Smile

Jitterybug · 06/02/2016 20:36

How's the bleeding now? I am never buying new knives again, after the last time, I had cuts all over both hands from the unexpected sharpness, I looked like I had been juggling with them.

2snugglets · 06/02/2016 20:38

She's now pm me to say her dd (pfb)is not feeling well, her dh has offered to which I have politely declined!! Hmm I'm thinking that dh has some strong tape stuff in his tool box and I could stick it together with that take some para's and go to bed

OP posts:
Stoneagemum · 06/02/2016 20:41

Are you still bleeding? If you are help from friends dh might be a good idea as its been an hour since your first post.

DonaldsDuck · 06/02/2016 20:41

Yes stop drinking wine! Alcohol thins your blood so it'll bleed more. Hope the hosptial sorts it out for you, shouldn't take too long

OverScentedFanjo · 06/02/2016 20:42

Run it under cold tap, then press hard with a towel wrapped round. Elevate.

spanky2 · 06/02/2016 20:43

I don't think anyone would judge your house in an emergency! Keep your finger elevated above the level of your heart.

2snugglets · 06/02/2016 20:45

Yes still bleeding although very thick and dark now. Not keen on her dh, find him very weird he picks up the dd(6) and hugs and kisses her in front of everyone in playground on a daily basis then puts his head up to the classroom window to wave some more once there inside, they're in yr1 for god sake!

OP posts:
Stoneagemum · 06/02/2016 20:47

Call 111 for advice and get her dp over just in case

OverScentedFanjo · 06/02/2016 20:48

If you are bleeding heavily, and tipsy. You might have to think about a taxi with the DC.

Otherwise keep ringing all your nearby friends or mums from school.

What2 · 06/02/2016 20:57

Have you other Nieghbours?
Can't you phone your sister who is 'out'

1manwent2mowWent2mowameadow · 06/02/2016 21:00

Any luck with a babysitter?! Hope it's not too painful

2snugglets · 06/02/2016 21:03

My folks are on there way over. One will sit with the girls and other will take me up to A&E. Just had a serious telling off from dm about drinking wine when I'm by myself with DD's if something, God forbid much worse was to happen Confused
Thank you so much for all the advice and sympathy

OP posts:
JumpJockey · 06/02/2016 21:04

DH is a doc and says pressure, elevation, stop drinking, if at all possible go outside or at least out hand out the window to get it cold so the blood vessels constrict. Sympathy, I did similar with a bread knife and it does hurt like hell once the initial shock wears off.

Stoneagemum · 06/02/2016 21:11

Glad to hear you're getting help. Don't worry about the 'telling off' it's just mums doing what they do

Taytocrisps · 06/02/2016 21:16

Glad you got through to your parents. Hope you're not too long in A&E.

Esmeismyhero · 06/02/2016 21:28

I hope your ok op Flowers
