Mri scan shows no abnormalities but still have chronic pain

I recently had an mri scan of my brain due to chronic constant headache , facial numbness , eye problems ,dizziness and balance issues .Thankfully the scan has shown no abnormalities ,however I still have all the symptoms along with absolute exhaustion .About 20 years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and am seeing a rheumatologist early March .Is this all related ? I'm just feeling really down with how my life has become

Are you hypermobile? (And you might be without realising it)
Fibromyalgia is a common misdiagnosis for hypermobility syndrome, and this can be linked to another condition called pots which can cause dizziness.

(Anxiety and cfs are two other misdiagnoses for it...)

Thank you for the replies .. Anxiety I do get worked up , usually about little things and have been worrying about mri .Not really sure what hypermobility syndrome is ( will investigate) Many years ago a Gp ( not my current one) diagnosed m e ,I just get so fed up with feeling ugh all of the time , having to refuse invites and hardly working . I'm going into my Doctors on Monday to see if he has any ideas

I don't suffer from anxiety but I do carry a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders which can kick off migraines and affect the nerves. Also get numbness in cheeks and eye issues which are a symptom of occular migraines. Have you had an eye test too? A few things that helped me were cutting down on sugar/caffine to help sleep, light excercises for head/neck/shoulders to help release tension, got glasses, and doc told me to only use one pillow when in bed as using more than one put natural body position out of line. Sounds odd but helped massively.

so, are you using computers/pads/phone throughout the day/evening? Sitting leaning slightly forward will long periods can also put strain on neck and effect blood flow to brain causing headaches. And put the brightness of any devices you have to about 40-50%. Just doing this decreased my wobbly vision attacks.

It might seem like a silly question but have you been to the dentist? I have been grinding my teeth and have TMJ disorder lots of the same symptoms, night guard and ice and heat helping

There are physios who can diagnose and do exercises to help.

Thank you all for your input , been to the dentist ( no issues) , and my use of phone etc is not excessive . Ocular migraine does seem to fit ,I'm going to see my Doctor this week so I have a lot to discuss ,sometimes get the impression that they don't actually know and just want to hand out more pills . Will take a look at vestibular.org as well
