hunkermunker · 23/12/2006 19:22

How on earth did you offend someone, Filly?

I am positively blobworthy compared to some of you lot - and wish I wasn't as the more I blob, the more chance I have of endometriosis coming back But as for non-blobbing timeframes - 16m with DS1, then 18m with DS2.

hoxtonchick · 23/12/2006 19:23

averymerrymonkeymooXmastoyou · 23/12/2006 19:25

hunkermunker · 23/12/2006 19:29

Oh, did you, Filly? Where? How?

JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 23/12/2006 19:30

2 stints of depo jab that stopped periods completely = 2 years

2 stints of children = 18 months (bad mummy not BF)

4 months of no period due to various contraceptives

so nearly 4 years total

HowTheFillyjonkStoleChristmas · 23/12/2006 19:31

pops am pmsl at your typing tonite, sorry

just for once am not bf, rather am sewing up a clanger, so i notice these things.

JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 23/12/2006 19:33

(i wish i had.... but i didnt have te wonders of mn back then, and with number 2 she refused to latch for DAYS so had to resort!)

HowTheFillyjonkStoleChristmas · 23/12/2006 19:35

oh god am not judging even slightly.

I found bf easy and so did both my kids. I am not in a position to judge anyone, I know I have been incredibly lucky. not bf does NOT make you a bad mummy IMO, I'm sure you know that though!

OP posts:
JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 23/12/2006 19:37

i know! jus putting my case accross!

Tis all good though - when number 3 is conceived and born I WILL DO IT, even if I have to sit here for days on end to get the advice lol

So, who is in the lead then???

monkey moo in the lead

aviatrix-no. hey, guess what? you can get pg when bf!

OP posts:
TinselgalacticWalrusOfLURVE · 23/12/2006 19:55

Got gp with DS1 in March 2004. He was born in the December. He was bfed for 16 months

Got pg with DS2 December last year, and he was born in Sept. Still no periods (I take it post partum bleeding doesn't count!)

So that's 2 years and 9 months so far of no periods. That's 33 lovely blob free months.

However, mine is also a cautionary tale to everyone. Don't rely on breastfeeding as contraception!!!!

hugeheadofangelhair · 23/12/2006 20:23

25 months with DS1 (incl pregnancy)
21 months with DS2 (idem)
19 months with DS3 (idem)
Total: 65 months

Only 1 blob inbetween DS1 and DS2

I was bf 22 months with DS1
30 months with DS2
18 months and still going strong with DS3

hmmm

dd1 - 9months pregnancy plus 14 months BF before AF returned.

DD2 9 months preg plus 4 months and counting (BF)

only 2 periods between dd1 and dd2.

so 23months

and 36 so far....

I see your advanced lactational ammenhorrea and raise you 2.7 years of continuous Bf .

BuffysMum · 23/12/2006 21:50

Can I sulk!!!!!!!!!!!!! with dd#2 AF returned at 4 months when I gave up full time bf with dd3 it returned at 6 weeks when I was still full time bf. 8 years that is so unfair [stomps off to sulk]

hugeheadofangelhair · 23/12/2006 22:16

Aah no, continuous bf, that I could not do. Very sensitive nipples when preggers. Had to wean ds1 off at 22 months (4 months pregnant) because it hurt! Well done for you though, I would have if I could have!
