Baby 6 weeks old, Still bleeding after sex

Is this normal? Bleeding had stopped for about 3 days but is now back after a session last night got period type pains as well could it be a period or something that needs checking? (im breastfeeding)

the bleeding can stop and start a fair bit, mine stopped for a week then came on strong again out of the blue. i'd imagine the jolting of sex could cause this. keep an eye on it and if it doesn't ease down check with you gp

I've heard that six weeks is an average, and light bleeding can continue for up to three months. Also, it;s quite normal for the membranes to be aggravated by sex.
