Post-Waxing: my bikini line needs help!!!!

Bit the bullet and went for my 1st wax a couple of days ago. My legs are great now but my bikini line is a real mess of somewhat unattractive red pimples. There's no way I can wear a swimsuit now!! Is this normal? Will they go away soon? Is there anything I can do? Please help - am going to Tenerife Boxing Day and my incredibly glamourous SILs will be there!!!

Yes they should go down - mine take a day or two. You should exfoliate though to prevent ingrowing hairs coming back and / or use one of the lotions that you can find for ingrowing hairs (I used to use Tend Skin but I'm not sure it's that easy to find)

Thanks! Do you just use a loofah for exfoliating? Don't have time now before Christmas to look for specific cream - I guess any moisturiser will do in the meantime?

Loofah fine, or one of those scratchy glove things. I don't actually get around to using anything anymore - I never have the time - I just know that that's what you should do! Ingrowing hairs only really a problem when they start to grow back anyway - so you should be okay for the holiday, see what happens. Have a great holiday!
