I have been thinking of trying St John's Wort as I do not get on with AD's. Does anyone have any experience with these. Thanks BH

Thanks Blossom - would be really good to hear how you are getting on.

Gloworm - the independent health shop near me does the Jan de Vries remedies. Ive been using the boots ones but may give those a try. Thanks for the tip.

Hope you dont mind me asking another question but just wondered if you know anything about noni juice?

Im in a bit of a difficult situation because Ive been in touch over the last few months with an SSRI charity (help people get off AD's)

Their advice now is that I up the valium for a while and take noni juice (which they market)to give myself a boost before reducing the valium.

Obviously I really really dont want to up the valium if at all possible but they have effectively said if I dont follow their method then i wont succeed.

If I was feeling a bit stronger then I think Id think it was a bit of emotional blackmail ('buy our noni juice or you wont get better' but im not v strong at the moment so being a bit of a wimp.

I actually had an unopened bottle of noni juice so ive started it - but although I have great faith in alternative medicince I just believe this can be the miracle cure.

Id be really interested if you have any views on noni.

Thanks!!

kizzie this is just my opinion...but i think noni is a marketing ploy...it sells with quite a high profit margin and there is no such thing as a miracle cure-everything drink!
i'm sure noni is good for you, although i've heard it has a high sugar content, but i dont think its everything its hyped to be. anyone selling it seems to be "hard selling" it and trying to push people into taking it. IMO!!

if you want a bit of a general boost ask in your halth shop about Solgar multivitamins...they are about as good as it gets as far as a good all-rounder. they are quite dear but you get sooo much in each tablet. VM75 is the one i would recommend.

Thanks Gloworm. Thats what I thought - really good to have your opinion.

I'll probably take it as Ive already got the bottle but certainly wont rely on it as a cure all (and definately wont determine my medication by it!!!)

Also thats really useful to know about the solgar. Im just about the finish a bottle of seven seas and was keen to get the best quality.

Thankyou!

let me know how you get on with the noni...hey, who knows, maybe it is a miracle cure!!

do try the solgar vm75...i think they're a million times better than the seven seas.
aslo shop assistant might mention other multivits by solgar, but most of the others have various herbs added. best to avoid those while on medication. Plus Solgar VM75 is only one-a-day!
