I hate vomit bugs! Why do they always hit our family right before Christmas??!

Wednesday I had DS2 throwing up & DS1 started throwing up today. He has now taken to his bed.
It seems tradition in our house that my children get a stomach bug days before Christmas, as this is the 3rd year running!
What's the betting that I will get struck down on Christmas day??!

aww so sorry to hear this, hopefully you wont get it at all and the kids will be over it by sunday night

pinkchampagne · 22/12/2006 16:49

Thanks, TR. I will keep my fingers crossed that this bug spreads no further!
I was meant to be going to a family Christmas party tonight, but have phoned to say I doubt I will go now.
H can't cope with sick, so I best stay & take care of DS.

He was meant to be staying at my mum's tonight, which he was looking forward to. I've had to tell him he can't go & we have had lots of tears.

Poor you, we had it last week, so fingers crossed that's it over with.

pinkchampagne · 22/12/2006 17:46

Horrible isn't it?
Did you all come down with it?

It SUCKS.

I spent three years in a row ill once and it felt like forever.

It WILL get better!

Hope they're over it soon.

pinkchampagne · 22/12/2006 18:15

It sucks alright, expat!
Why do these things have to strike at Christmas time??!
Poor DS, he was so looking forward to staying with my parents tonight.
Let's hope it has all passed by Sunday!

He's not been sick for around an hour now, so I am hoping it is easing.
He is even asking for tea, but I don't think that's a wise idea!

I've got two with it, how long does it last? This is our first day, hoping my other dd doesn't get it or me

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 22/12/2006 23:00

Hope you don't get it.
Only a mild bug for us.DS2 sick 4 times.A week later DS1 was only sick twice(once at school!),DD1 got it the next night, sick about 5 times.I had it by the morning wiped me out for the day but only sick about 5 times.Fine the next day.
DD2 didn't get it.

pinkchampagne · 23/12/2006 09:46

Poor you, tortoise! Glad you are all recovered for Christmas!
DS was sick again while sitting on the sofa last night. He had perked up & I thought the worst was over, but he was sick another two times.
He missed the towel & was sick all over the sofa & carpet. Then as I was cleaning everything up, I noticed that DS2 had sprayed H's new aftershave all over the other sofa!
I just stood there & cried!!!
DS seems lots better today, so I am just keeping my fingers crossed that I don't come down with it for Christmas!
