story here

Just had a huge over emotional reaction till I realised it was all in neo-natal unit where dd3 and I never visited (we came home straight from labour ward).

Ghastly for those who were there though.

It is scary. I usually have my babies at home (3 out of the 4) but when my ds3 was born in January the doctor wouldnt come out to do his paed check ( you know heart, lungs, hips etc which they usually do brfore you are discharged from hospital) and I had to take him to the n and n to have it done.
When we got there we were taken to the neo natal unit for the check. I was horrified that all these poor sick little babies had people trapsing in and out for no good reason.
I wrote a letter complaining about this but it seems nothing has changed. Interesting that they say that the infection is ususally "in the community"!

one of the babies infected was a home birth - it does seem so unfair.
