I have just had a pre op assessment and I was asked whether I had problems with my blood pressure, I explained to Nurse that normally it was okay but whenever I walked into a hospital it went high. She checked it and it was 195/95, she checked it a second time and it was even higher. I explained that I don't like the city very much and that I had to take a different route on the train adding to my stress (its a 2 and a half hr journey to the hospital with having to get connecting trains and tube etc ) . Not sure how much she took on board, but said she would give all her findings to the assessment Dr tomorrow. Now I'm stressing that I won't be fit for my operation which I've been waiting for since July Sad.
