I think my dd has a bit of a cold she has got a really snotty nose and is really snuffly, she doesnt have a temp or a cough and is feeding well, but seems to be sleeping more she is 5weeks and 4days old so i know she will still be sleeping alot. Just wanted to know if babies tend to sleep more when they are ill??

My DS (23 weeks) has just had a cold and he slept far more than usual - particularly at the start before he was showing any other symptoms.

Yes, IME anyway - Had a few days with DS1 when he was about as old as yours when he went from being awake most of the day to sleeping most of it - it's their body's way of dealing with it.

Make the most of it and get some sleep in yourself!

DD (7 months) has been poorly for the past week and is sleeping huge amounts. So far this morning, she's been up for just 45minutes. Poor love.
