A delicate subject - DD's got a "red bottom"

I'm posting on here about this as I'm stuck as to what to Google for in order to try and work out whether DD1 has a problem or whether everyone's bottom is different. It's tricky to describe but I'll have a go ... DD1 (4) has developed a couple of red circular patches over the area of her front bottom and her back bottom. I'm sure it's reasonably recent as it's quite noticeable (especially if I've just been changing DD2's nappy and been noticing hers) and I'm sure I couldn't have missed it. It looks a bit uncomfortable but DD1 says it doesn't hurt or itch or anything. Sometimes when it seems redder than other times and I'm helping her get changed I ask if she wants some of DD2's Sudocrem (or however it's spelt) on her bottom and she says yes, but I don't know whether it's soothing something that needs soothing or whether she just likes cream being put on her bottom! (NB. She uses normal loo roll for wees and Kan-Do's for poos.)

I'm just a bit paranoid in case it's something cringe-worthy like worms or something (tried the torch at night test and didn't see anything).

Has anyone seen this before?

Sounds like a fungal skin infection, nothing major, just see your GP to make sure that's what it is, he or she will probably prescibe you some canestan or similar, my dd had red circular dry looking (though not bothered by) patches on her tummy and back, she got some cream, now I think of it, i think it was daktarin and it went away.....see GP though!
