Erm sorry a bit grim but how to give a poo sample?

I have a smallish pot (tall and thin like a urine sample pot) with what looks like a spoon in it . How do I get poo in it? And how much is supposed to go in there?

It annoys me that both the sample pot and the bag it needs to go in are clear and I have to hand it in at reception at my GP Blush

You just need a tiny scrape. Wait until the turtles head, halt and scoop a tiny lump out then finish.

You don't have to fill the tube.

Or do a pop on to tissue then scoop.

Put a plastic tub in the loo to catch it.

Turtles head! Shock Grin [boak]

Or alternatively put a wad of tissue on your hand in the toilet to 'catch' it, and use your spoon to excavate what you need. Unfortunately there's no dignity in a poo sample.

As others have said re collection. Just put the whole thing in an envelope when you hand it in at the surgery.

I had this dilemma a few weeks back trying to catch the most awful diarrhoea and decant it into said tiny pot......

YerTiz · 19/01/2016 19:34

I used my son's potty when I had diarrhoea Blush I did wash/disinfect it after!!

YerTiz · 19/01/2016 19:36
