right, but the pain often starts in the middle. Particularly hurts when pressure is removed apparently.

can be all over the stomach at first, then more intensely to the right. i had referred pain in my kidneys too. (had it 3 years ago - twice! they couldn't operate)

don't take any risks, take her to A&E, they won't mind if it turns out to be trapped wind.

Right side. Place your open hand just on her pubic line and where your thumb lays on her tummy thats where her appendix are. Pain is not always an indication. Loss of apetite and bad breath are also symptoms. I had mine out 5 weeks after my ds3 2 years ago. But I didnt have any specific pain just fely yeuch for a while and my dh kept saying I had bad breath. Doc sent me straight to hospitak

It could also be a water infection. I was sent home from hospital about 5 times as a child with what was thought was appendicitis and turned out to be a urine infection.

Think they took mine out in the end as they were sick of seeing me in A&E!!!

My family were a bit obsessive tbh as my Mum's brother died of peritonitis which happens if the appendix rupture.

I spent 13 wedding anniverary in hospital getting appendix out. It started with hearburn type pain... I drank Gaviscon all night to no avail. Then I had the shites in the early hours. Then stuck with endless heartburn all the next day. Couldnt eat or drink.

Gave in and went to A&E at 4pm. By then I felt a bit of a fraud because the heartburn had eased. When the doctor put pressure on my right side i lept off the bed with pain.

That pain was just above my right hip bone, but across toward the middle just a bit. The scar is under the waistband of my hipster jeans IYSWIM

Oooh yes I remember the pain when pressure was put on my right side by the ambulanceman, he then picked me up and carried me to the ambulance to which I promptly threw up all over him he wasn't too bothered but I was, extremely embarrassing for a 16 year old girl.
