ds has completed courase of ABs for chest infection but still has rattly cough

do ABs sometimes not work? wondering if i should take him back to gps

he's much better in himself though - sleeping and eating

anyone?

The same happened to ds in Sept/Oct time. The other two got over their infections during the course of AB but ds1 didn't. He had pneumonia earlier in the year though so the GP said it would just take him a bit longer - she didn't give any more ABs and he did get better over the following week.
