Carrot, Orange and Ginger is my all time favourite juice, though I am lately keen on green apple, celery and watercress. The children only care about berry and mango though...

Fleur78 · 12/01/2016 13:23

I like to mix up
Lactose free yogurt
Banana
Chia seeds
Cacao nibs
Cinnamon
Rice syrup

But less of a drink more like breakfast

Fleur78 · 12/01/2016 13:24

Hi everyone,

We agree that this is a bit oddly placed in Adult Fiction so we're going to pop it over to General Health.

OP posts:
AnthonyPandy · 12/01/2016 16:27

Good grief. No recipes sorry, but Mr Cooper, you are quite easy on the eye, aren't you?

AnthonyPandy · 12/01/2016 16:29

Sorry to bring the tone down but are there many photos of him in the book?

I'll invent a recipe to try and win it if so.

specialsubject · 12/01/2016 18:04

given the juice is being flogged as 'cleansing', Adult Fiction is the perfect place for it.

RoosterCogburn · 12/01/2016 20:20

Apple, avocado, spinach, mint (lots of) ginger and celery plus cold peppermint tea

anonooo · 12/01/2016 22:04

Love a well made Virgin Mary type thing...lots of tomatoes, carrot, celery, maybe beetroot, bit of ginger and a dash of chili.

FeelingSmurfy · 12/01/2016 22:22

I have never used a juicer so I haven't got a favourite, my favourite smoothie is blueberry, banana and orange juice though

Loula100 · 12/01/2016 23:18

Oranges
Carrots
Apples
Ginger

Makes me feel healthy :)

Supermam · 13/01/2016 00:25

Beetroot, carrot and orange is my favourite. Sometimes I add honey.

Bostin · 13/01/2016 06:08

Mango, orange, carrot and ginger.

ohlittlepea · 13/01/2016 06:44

2 beetroot
2sticks of celery
2green apples
1/2 lime (squeezed)
Water to dillute.

As My dad says it tastes delightfully of mud, but I know it's doing me good!

CoteDAzur · 13/01/2016 07:48

"given the juice is being flogged as 'cleansing', Adult Fiction is the perfect place for it."

You are right, actually Grin Now I feel bad about reporting the thread to MNHQ & getting it kicked out of Adult Fiction.

CoteDAzur · 13/01/2016 07:50

Essential reading for OP re "cleansing juice" Smile

I thought I was the only one who felt like that Cote!!

CoteDAzur · 13/01/2016 09:15

You are not. There are quite a few us sniggering at the whole idea of fruit/vegetable juices cleansing the body of anything.

Eating the fruit itself would actually do some 'cleansing' (if you want to call it that) because of the indigestible fiber but juices don't even have the fiber. Not that the body of people with functional liver & kidneys needs additional cleansing. And not that some juice could take the place of a liver or kidneys if those were not working.

It's all a ludicrous con but if it gets people to have some fruit & veg in their diet, harmless really. (Except for the "Juicer worth £110" - what? Shock)

todormirchev · 13/01/2016 09:54

My favourite way to start the day is with juice, because it is very healthy and give me so much energy to meet everyday challeges. I am a fan of green juices, so this one is on the top of my list:

  • handful of spinach
  • 1-2 stalks celery
  • 1/2 organic cucumber
  • 1/2 zuchinni
  • 1 lemon
  • ginger root (amount depend of personal preferences) Optional:
  • 1tsp spirulina
  • 1tsp wheatgrass *probiotic
ButterflyOfFreedom · 13/01/2016 13:08

Mines pretty simple but pretty tasty and pretty healthy:
Apple
Carrot
Ginger

specialsubject · 13/01/2016 13:28

any answer, HQ? Given this is questionable science (and I'm being VERY charitable here) shouldn't it be in 'sponsored links'? Or back in adult fiction where it belongs?

I know you guys don't work for your health (or anyone else's) but this is just some bloke flogging an overpriced liquidiser. Good luck to him, I'm sure he's got to put food on the table too although hopefully he doesn't mush all of it up, rather a shame to do that.

katiewalters · 13/01/2016 15:55

INGREDIENTS
4 large carrots, peeled
A thumb-sized piece of fresh root ginger, unpeeled
A pinch of turmeric
